Apple Picking

80 degree weather in October just doesn't happen that often. So when it does, one MUST play hooky.

Ella had such fun picking the apples off the tree 

Although I think she had more fun "sampling" the apples.

Even with Ella eating all the apples out of our bucket, we still ended up with 32lbs of apples

The Three Amigos and the Pumpkin Patch

Look out Stokoe Farms here comes Ella, Charlie and Zachery.....

Ella was so excited to see her best buds that she could hardly eat her lunch, and nap time, well needless to say that never happened.









Ella, Charlie and Zachery went to Doodle bugs together, at least up until last month when Charlie moved to a different school.
Ella is always asking about him...... "Where's Charlie?? What's Charlie Doing??..... So I think she was very happy to final be able to see him again.

Zachery and Ella still attend DoodleBugs together, and had just seen each other the other day, but Ella was still just as happy to see him too.

The Kids had such a great time together. They're like the Three Amigos.....




"Ok Charlie, I almost got this lock.... so be ready to rush the goats...."

"alright guys, the big people busted us with the goat thing, but this time I swear we'll make it...... get ready to nab us some chickens...."

"Man those big people are fast, eh Charlie? I guess we'll just have to watch the chickens this year"

Rock - A - Bye - Baby

Ella's nightly ritual now is to sing "Rock a Bye Baby" to her doll and cover her up in the stroller before going to bed. Ella's such a good little Mommy.

Daddy's little Helper

It's been a while since I've posted anything, and not because there hasn't been anything to post about, but by the time Ella goes to bed, we cook dinner and clean up, all we want to do is just veg on the couch. So I'm determined to get a couple posts knocked out tonight.

The other day Ella was such a good little helper. She followed me around the yard, and helped water all of the flowers.

Believe it or not, neither her nor I got wet. I thought for sure one or both of us was going to get soaked.

Ella's 1st Day of Gymnastics

Ella had her 1st day of gymnastics today with her cousin Mia. From what I heard when she got home it must have been a lot of fun. Ella couldn't wait to tell me how she hopped like a bunny and jumped like a frog. She looked so cute in her little gymnastic outfit.

Mommy said she had a ton of fun walking on a balance beam, jumping off a spring board, and climbing in and out of different kinds of barrels and things.

The Big Girl Room!!

We moved Ella into her new Big Girl Room a few weeks ago, and all in all it's going pretty well *knocks on wood*

The first night was a little rough, I don't think she fully understood what was happening. Moving to a new room that used to be Ally's, sleeping in something other than her crib, it was a lot to digest. She kept getting out of bed and coming to the door.. "Mommy Daddy".... "Mommy Daddy". So every time we would go up and put her back in bed, and every time she would get out of bed and come to the door.
It wasn't till the second night that we said, what would happen if we don't go up there. What would she do....?



Well, just like the night before, she got out of bed shortly after we walked out and came to the door. This time however, we did not go and get her. It took a little while of her opening and closing the door (there's a gate in the door so she can't get out) and running around her room before she did the craziest thing......

she climbed back into bed, laid her head down on the pillow, and went to sleep. Imagine that.... it's been the same ever since *knocks on wood again*. Sure there may be some opening and closing of drawers, and playing with her dolls for a few minutes after we walk out of the room. But it never fails, when she's tired, she climbs back into bed and goes to sleep.

Ella's TWO!!

Well, another year down in what seems like 30 secs.... When they say "enjoy them know, because they get old before you know it" they're not kidding.

















Ella's Birthday was on Friday this year, but we celebrated it with family and friends Saturday. Naturally the entire week prior, the weather was just beautiful, and the forecast the entire week after was also beautiful. However, the beautiful weather was NOT forecasted for Saturday. But that's ok, Ella had fun just as well, the kids just couldn't be outside playing on the new slide Mama and Papa bought Ella for her birthday.

Ella just loves that slide. When Mama and Papa brought it over on Thursday Ella was all over it. No sooner did she slide down, and she was right back up the ladder again. Over and Over and Over and........

















All week Ella has been practicing with Mommy on how to hold up her two fingers. She's so proud of herself when she can do it. So now when you see her and ask "Ella, how old are you?" she holds up her two fingers and says....... "Three"
